Big Bad Wolf Book Sale!!

AAAHHHHH WWWUUUUUUUUU~~~

Finally! Its held in Seri Kembangan! My territory! No hunting-for-the-venue-in-PJ-and-parking-at-the-road-side debacle this year! =)

After finishing my LAN exam that morning, I immeadiately boarded a bus to my destination~

Started queuing at the entrance at 12.15pm~

And I'm IN~~~ ^_____^

The familiar rush of adrenaline coursed through my veins, elevating me to the height of ecstasy as piles and piles and piles of books greeted me~ =P 

Everybody can be seen walking around with a huge cardboard box of books~

My lil hoard of books~ (before elimination) =P As i had only RM 50 in my purse, i could only bring a few books back home with me.. T^T the torture of choosing!! I want them ALL~~

Spent about an hour browsing from table to table, picking up book after book.. There were just sooooo many books at such affordable prices!! 

The queue was just soooo long!!! I spent 2 whole hours queuing!! XD Half way through the long wait, i realized that i should be in the CASH ONLY queue, cuz i'm paying cash for my books and it is soooooo much faster than the CASH and CREDIT CARD queue i was in! The people in my queue were buying TONNES of books as if they don't cost anything at all! XD 

See what i mean? They bring suitcases to carry their books! =P

Well, lesson learnt! I'll know where to queue next year~ ;)

Btw, i would like to compliment the BBW staff on their excellent job today~ I saw some kind staff members help the customers to carry their heavy boxes of books at the cashiers to speed up the line~ plus the staff members on watch did not allow any unfair queue cutting to happen~ Bravo! =) 

Finally, i took another bus home with the new additions to my collection~ ^____^

I'm a huge Jodi Picoult fan~ however, i can't afford to buy her books at the normal rates.. now it's sold at RM8 ONLY!!! *grab Grab GRAB* =P The Five Love Languages has always been in my to read list~ His Dark Materials is a very interesting trilogy.. though it might not be familiar to most people, but the first book was made into a movie called..

Family Movie Outing~ Detective Dee!

Went for a movie at TGV Sunway in the afternoon with my family.. =)

The Mystery of The Phantom Flame~

starring mum's favourite actor - Andy Lau! 

 too bad not starring dimple dee.. =P

So, here's my lil review:

This Cantonese movie directed by Tsui Hark had a very interesting storyline revolving around the mysterious death of some people who literally burst into flames on their own accord. Watching wise Detective Dee (Andy Lau) and  beautiful Jing Er (Lee Bingbing) fighting off ambushers and investigating the mysterious cause of death was rather entertaining and exciting~

Though the actor that really impressed me was Carina Lau as China's only Empress Wu Zhe Tian~ 

she looks sooo majestic! XD

All in all, it was a well produced movie with impressive settings and scenes of China and very good cinematic graphics that is comparable to western movies. =)

Bus Ride Story

I am a frequent passenger of Malaysia's public transportation as I don't have a car to drive around.. By traveling in the Rapid buses, Metro buses, KTM, Rapid LRT, STAR LRT, Monorail and etc i get to see lots of interesting stuff and meet all kinds of funny people from all walks of life. Thus, observing people is my main past time during the rides. =)

Today, while i was taking my 90 minute long bus ride to college, i noticed a very peculiar family of 3..

This is my second encounter with them on the bus.. this lil family really caught my eye during the first time as I've never seen such a loving family~ =) the daddy and baby would send the mummy to work, whereby the mummy would be carrying the baby in her arms throughout the whole ride.. Mummy would talk softly and kiss the baby's forehead in the bus!! *heart melting* it was truly a sight to behold.. 

Today, i noticed something different.. the baby looks much weaker than before..the baby was balding and she always needs to be carried and supported by her parent.. then it suddenly stroke me that the baby was ILL!! The baby was so so so THIN!! T____T it was really heart wrenching when i saw the mummy cuddling the frail lil body.. normal 3 or 4 year olds would sit up and wriggle about in their parent's arms.. however this baby leaned on her parent throughout the bus ride.. It suddenly dawned to me the reason the parents take her for bus rides to work.. they wanted to spend more time together! Does the baby have lil time left? Why were they taking the bus in the first place? Didn't they own a car? or did they sell off the car to pay for baby's medical fees...? T___T though these are only my speculations, however, if you were there with me, i'll bet that you'll definitely agree with me...

Sitting through the hour's bus ride with this lil family was truly touching.. there was a  lil sad aura surrounding the loving family.. all i could do throughout the ride was to say a few silent prayers.. Praying that God would bless them with joy and health which all of us take for granted.. Dear lil family, I really hope to meet you again with baby happy and well~ =)

Be thankful that we are healthy.. Be thankful for what we have.. 

Be thankful..

God's grace is always sufficient.. =)

Why today? Why now?

Well, everybody has been busy celebrating the auspicious day of 10.10.10, arranging important events such as weddings on that day. However, this day is not that special after all as the day 10.10.10 happens once every millennium! It will happen again in year 3010! 

However, today 20.10.2010 only happens once and it's never coming back.. So, I chose this humble yet auspicious and important date to start my blog! =) 

Am so excited! ;) Looking forward to mingle and contribute my small part in the blogging world! =)
